Brandenburg App
The vacation feature Nature all around Berlin can also be experienced wherever you are.The new Brandenburg App allows at no extra cost to plan your trip to the State of Brandenburg and to research nearby sights, restaurants, bike routes or places to stay overnight.
The first comprehensive Brandenburg App enables navigation on the Brandenburg tourist cycle network with your own iPhone or Android. What is special about it is that you can select the fastest or most scenic bike route using the routing function on the OpenStreetMap network.
It is also possible to navigate the hiking network on OpenStreetMap and to get routes for the arrival by car on Google’s network. Thanks to the automatic location finder, nearby results are shown when looking for restaurants, hotels, events, bike paths, hiking trails and waterways.
The entries provide the most important information at a glance: an info text, a picture gallery as well as contact data with telephone number for requests and booking. This allow you to be flexible in that you may either set up your own itinerary in advance or spontaneously during the tour.
Saved tourist information and downloaded maps are also available offline in the app and remain accessible regardless of network reception.
